Megan Banfield is a sound board mixer, sound engineer, and sound designer.

Megan is currently working for Disney Cruise Line as their Audio Technician in the Walt Disney Theatre. For this job she is backstage working with microphones and she works closely with the actors. Megan has had the opportunity to also mix some of the shows while working on the ships. Before DCL, Megan was in Cincinnati and was working at the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati. She was the microphone technician and a backstage crew as well. 

 

Megan was working as the sound apprentice at Triad Stage, in Greensboro, NC, from the fall of 2017 until the spring of 2018. Megan recently worked at Bay Street Theatre in Long Island, Ny during the summer of 2017. While there, Megan was the sound intern for their summer season. She was able to work on a new musical currently in development and other fantastic plays.

 

Megan has eight years of experience in theatre and worked at Boll Theatre while attending the University of Dayton.  At Boll Theatre she sound designed, engineered, and mixed many types of shows, including musicals, operas, straight plays, and devised pieces. Megan worked with a local community theatre while living in Cincinnati and worked with children. She helped them learn about sound and how to run a show successfully. Megan worked as the sound intern at the Theatre at Monmouth, ME, during the summer of 2016. 

 

Megan is a graduate of the University of Dayton, class of 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, Dance and Performance Technology with a concentration in Performance Technology. She also holds minors in English and Communication.
