Brand Interactions

July 2020

This is my first blog post in an attempt to become more relatable and talk about brand interactions on social media. This webpage is supposed to help me figure out how to use more social media in order to interact better with brands but also utilize new media technology. I have been doing research in order to find out the best way to get consumers to interact with different brands, but also which social medias work best to reach specific audiences. “Brands' use of social media for relational communication results in positive marketing outcomes” (Jin & Ryu, 2020). As more and more brands are using social media and using influencers, there are more interactions that are seen. I can help people interact more with my brand by having my different social medias to my homepage on my webpage. At the bottom there are links but then also throughout the homepage you can see my professional Instagram and some inspirational playlist/podcast I have found on Spotify. Someday I wish to create a podcast for myself hopefully, but that is in the future. At the moment my brand is changing which is why I have created this new webpage. There is also a contact portion of my webpage in case people would like to work with me or know more about my brand. My topic about brand interaction has changed a bit since starting this process but overall it has stayed the same. I want people to feel like they are able to interact with my brand and this can show potential employers my abilities to draw people in who want to interact with different brands. I have found research that indicates that consumers who are able to see others with a brand are more likely to also want to use that brand. This is part of why different brands work together and create advertisements together. “By forming a brand alliance, they can acquire an installed social media base from a partner brand in an attempt to boost the sales of their composite products” (Kupler, von der Holte, Kubler, Henning-Thurau, 2018). I believe by working with other companies I can help improve their social media interactions. I am on most social medias and have tried to keep up with the recent trends. I am still learning how to be more active but for the most part I keep up with the trends. On my webpage, I will be trying to keep content updated and continue to add more to it. I’m going to try to add a page that tells about myself and maybe on that page my resume just so potential employers can see my experience.
